What is the Vitraag Jain Literature Preservation Trust's objective?

We want to make Vitraag Jain Literature available to the world. We achieve this by converting Jain Literature into formats suitable for the internet and then offer them for publishing by web-sites such as www.AtmaDharma.com.

What type of Jain Literature do we make available?
We take exisiting paper shastras and convert them into electronic form by working with our supplier www.aurionPro.com

If you would like to present any of this material on your web-site, please contact us on: rajesh@AtmaDharma.com.

Why help us to make Vitraag Jain Literature available?

Most people at some time or the other in their lives, try to understand their existence and its purpose. There is only one philosophy, which offers logical explanations which actually make sense, and that is Jainism.

This charity's purpose is to make Jain Literature available to help people of all ages who are interested in trying to understand their own true nature.

Much of the true Jain Literature has been lost. Therefore, we are trying to preserve and make available to the world what remains. ... ... So please help us by donating to this cause.

Definition of Vitraag Jain Literature

We will attempt to preserve original Vitraag (Free from passion & attachment) Jain Literature faithfully (without adulteration) and without creating any new literature. All the literature we reproduce will be:-
  1. that written by true Sadhus {such as Kundkund Acharya } or
  2. that written by those house-holders (such as Pandit Todarmalji, Shreemad Rajchandra, etc.) who had become Gnaanis (by understanding and experiencing their own nature called Samyakt Darshan [Right Faith]) and then written texts to assist others to achieve the same understanding or
  3. transcripts/audios/videos of lectures by Gnaanis and also translations into modern languages
  4. Introductory texts, to help gain a basic understanding of Jainism, written by others whose literary skills have been commended by Gnaanis may also be preserved. These texts will be confined to presenting the basics of Jainism only.
Where in doubt we will rely on Jain Literature such as Moksh Marg Prakshak by Pandit Todarmalji and other such Jain Literature as recommended by Gurudev Shree KanjiSwami.
